<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=us-ascii"></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; line-break: after-white-space;" class="">Dear Collaborators,<div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Yesterday Chris Keith and the target group successfully investigated the target vacuum issue and by ~noon we began filling the target with helium. Overnight we were able to collect some production data with the target full. Unfortunately, much of last night was lost due to RF issues and a klystron which needed to be replaced. </div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">This morning we were informed that due to the <span style="background-color: rgb(255, 255, 255);" class=""><font face="sans-serif" class="">continuing RF issues maintaining gradient for the current beam energy of 11.6 GeV, the accelerator and lab management have decided to lower energy to 11.2 GeV for the remainder of this run period. Therefore we will have 2 days without beam for the accelerator to commission the beam at this energy, and hope to be back to production running on Thursday.</font></span></div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">-Justin</div></body></html>
