Dear All PVDIS (6 GeV) Collaborators:

The PVDIS experiment completed nearly 2 years ago and although we have
made steady progress in the analysis, we never had a formal collaboration
meeting.

The next solid "brainstorming" session will be held in the afternoon of
Jan. 6th. As this will be during the school winter break, I suggest that
we have a 6 GeV PVDIS collaboration meeting in the morning that day,
starting around 9am. I myself will give an overview talk, then Diancheng
and Kai, the two key person doing the analysis work, will report on
detailed analysis tasks.

I'd like to know if this works for those who would like to get an update
on PVDIS. I am drafting a list of analysis topics below, and I welcome
additional tasks necessary for unblinding so we will not miss any
important components:

1) Overview of the analysis tasks;
2) Update on the "theoretical" uncertainties due to PDFs, Rs, Higher
twists...

3) Asymmetry analysis: electrons, pions, transverse, positrons; Only DIS
electron asymmetries are blinded;
4) PID analysis: pion contamination in the electron trigger;
5) PID: electron contamination in the pion trigger and interpretation of
the measured pion asymmetry;

6) Deadtime: breakdown of the DAQ deadtime; full simulation strategy and
results;
7) Radiative corrections: available resonance calculations from theory;
preliminary results on the resonance asymmetries and comparison to theory;
Preliminary results on the radiative corrections;
8) Acceptance corrections;

Xiaochao

Dear Collaborators,

The date for the JLab Physics Division "brainstorming session" is
fixed now to be on January 6th (1:00-5:00 pm).
It will be focus on the update of the items discussed last time as well
as items not discussed last time (magnet, etc.).
Please mark your calendar and make plan to attend if you can.

Best regards.
