Dear All:
Some of you know that I have been working on a proposal to measure the asymmetry between e+ and e- DIS off the deuteron using SoLID and "Polarized Electron for Polarized Positron (PEPPo)" source at JLab. It is intended to be part of the JLab positron program, described last summer in the Positron White Paper (https://arxiv.org/abs/2007.15081).
Please use this link

to view version #0 of the proposal. A signup link is embedded on the first page. Because the next SoLID collaboration meeting will be after the May 24th PAC submission deadline, we will not be able to add the "SoLID and Hall A Collaboration" stamp prior to submission, but I hope to include as many people as possible as co-authors.
I thank a few people within the SoLID group -- Ye Tian, Jixie Zhang, Zhiwen Zhao -- for carrying out the necessary simulations; Dave Mack and Dave Gaskell for beamline discussions; Jay Benesch for running Opera of SoLID in the reverse polarity mode, David Flay for contributing to the beamline and magnetic field mapping sections, and the JLab JAM group for useful discussions. (The list may not be complete, I apologize in advance if I have forgotten some names.)
Best regards,
Xiaochao
