 Dear Colleagues,

The PAC51 session closed on friday with the following results on the positron proposals:

PR12+23-002: Beam charge asymmetries for deeply virtual Compton scattering on the proton at CLAS12 - Approved C1 - Rating A-
PR12+23-003: Measurement of deep inelastic scattering from nuclei with electron an positron beams to constrain the impact of Coulomb corrections in DIS - Approved C1 - Rating A-
PR12+23-005: A dark photon search with a Jefferson Lab positron beam - Deferred
PR12+23-006: Deeply virtual Compton scattering using a positron beam in Hall C - Approved C1 - Rating A-
PR12+23-008: A direct measurement of hard two-photon exchange with electrons and positrons at CLAS12 - Approved C1 - Rating A
  PR12+23-012: A measurement of two-photon exchange in unpolarized elastic positron-proton and electron-proton scattering - Approved C1 - Rating A-

The C1 condition concerns the existence of a positron beam with expected performance. The final report which should be available by mid-august will also give feedback from the PAC on the 5 positron letters-of-intent. A copy of the close-out slides as well as copies of all the PAC talks can be found at: https://indico.jlab.org/event/723/

We would like to congratulate all the persons involved in the making of these excellent results. Having a strong set of approved positron experiments is a big step forward for the Jefferson Lab positron program and should facilitate the development of the positron source.

There is still a lot of work to do to make it happen and there are many areas for the Positron Working Group to collegially collaborate/contribute with JLab experts; so stay tuned for more on JLab positrons!

 Best regards,

 Eric & Doug
