Dear Xiaochao (and Eric, Axel, Doug),

Thanks for summarizing the PWG action items and for providing a clear path going forward.

On our end, we are actively working towards a PAC51 LoI, for the measurement of the proton GPs utilizing a positron beam.
Our progress on that effort came a couple of weeks late, compared to this week's workshop at UVa. As such we were not ready to give a talk this time.
We have just started to produce our first projections on the proposed measurements, and we are aiming for the LoI document to be ready in mid-April.

I have one question on your previous email:
In action item #2, you mention peer review to proposal's and LoI's that want to be endorsed by the PWG at PAC52.
Are you referring here to the PAC for next year (summer 2024)?
This year's PAC is the PAC51.

Kind regards,
Nikos

Dear PWG collaborators:

We had a successful workshop at UVA earlier this week. Many thanks to
those of you being there in person or remote, we had vibrant discussions.
Many ideas emerged, and so did many action items. We summarize these
action items briefly as follows:

Action item #1: we will develop a document summarizing the positron
physics program at CEBAF and describing the present status of the positron
beam R&D, in perspective of PAC52.

Action item #2: we will provide peer review for all proposals and
letters-of-intent that would like to be endorsed by the JLab Positron
Working Group at PAC52. If you are planning to submit a full proposal,
please plan to have a draft proposal ready for review, ideally about one
month prior to the PAC submission deadline, and inform us before March
17th about your wish to seek for endorsement.

Action item #3: we will develop a organized forward plan, including what
proposals to put forward in 2024 and 2025 such that we have at least one
proposal in (or working towards) each of the main physics topics.

Action item #4: we will develop ideas about a more structured organization
of the Positron Working Group.

Lastly, as Thomas Jefferson (the founder of UVA) used to say: "I like the
dreams of the future better than the history of the past". Indeed,
regardless of past accomplishment, everyday is a new starting line. As
your host, I am glad that we have provided a venue for everyone to
envision and to plan for the future positron physics program.

Sincerely,
Xiaochao, for Eric, Axel, and Doug.
