To whom it may concern:
I unequivocally endorse Bernardo Ameneyro Quantum Computing Boot Camp. As his PhD advisor, I can attest to his exceptional skills and expertise in the field of quantum computing and topological data analysis. Bernardo's focus on understanding the shape of data and extracting their topological signature features using persistent homology is a cutting-edge approach that has immense potential for advancing the field.
Bernardo's research paper on "Quantum Persistent Homology for Time Series" is a testament to his ingenuity and ability to develop novel methodologies and algorithms in this area. His work on a quantum persistent homology framework for Takens' delay embedding is groundbreaking, and the paper is currently under consideration at the Journal of Applied and Computational Topology. He is currently working on a third paper that compares within a full quantum framework topological summary of data. The latter will lead to a fully quantum framework of machine learning using topological data analysis.
In addition to his outstanding research accomplishments, Bernardo has maintained an impressive academic record while taking a full load of graduate classes at the University of Tennessee. He is an excellent communicator and his written work is clear, concise, and persuasive.
I strongly believe that a summer school on quantum computing would be an excellent opportunity for Bernardo to gain valuable knowledge and experience to help with his future research, as well as a place for him to showcase his work and network with leading scientists and peers from diverse backgrounds. I highly recommend him without any reservations and urge you to give him serious consideration. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me via email at vasileios.maroulas at utk.edu<mailto:vasileios.maroulas at utk.edu> .
Sincerely,
Vasileios Maroulas
Professor of Mathematics
University of Tennessee Knoxville
