Quite an impressive two months of bicycle commuting
(https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/pub?key=0Ah5uEZzUBf-udEVBOEtPYW9WM2tNVndHRFltMTBucUE&output=html).

  * 3311 total miles commuted, enough to ride from yorktown to Seattle
    WA. (http://goo.gl/maps/QUglQ)
  * Equivalent to 132 gallons of gas (over $400)
  * 1.2MT of CO2 (about one months worth of CO2 for typically family of
    four)
  * One week of solid incessant rain to test us.

The mileage winner for this portion is Dave Douglas with over 1000miles
in the past two months. Consistency part of the challenge was neck to
neck between Mat Wright and myself until Mat ran into a bit of bad luck.

I notice a few commuters have flat lined. Probably due to the
construction on RT 17. That is unfortunate.

As we go into the Vampire portion of the challenge, please pay
attention to safety. My morning ride has been in the dark all
October, including a few late rides home in the dark as well. Riding in
the dark can be done safely, but it takes effort. Please only commute
in the dark if you have the appropriate lights and are
comfortable/confident in your lighting system/bike route. Personally,
my rides will be a bit more illuminated now with day light savings time.

Awards for the Sun Worshiper portion will be handed out at the end of
the FCCC challenge in Dec.

Keep the wheels down!!!
Arne
