I'm up for a WCCC since I plan on riding anyway but safety will be paramount with ice patches being of primary concern out my way. Only three days remain in the 2014 FCCC
(<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://userweb.jlab.org/~freyberg/BicycleCommuting/FCCC/" target="_blank">https://userweb.jlab.org/~freyberg/BicycleCommuting/FCCC/</a>). It
looks like this years tally of total miles will not exceed the 2013
total mileage. This is due to the new 13 week format, Fall equinox
to Winter Solstice(13wks) versus last year Labor day to
Solstice(16wks). This years average miles per week 357 exceeds
last years average of 308, so we are riding more miles per week!!<br>
<br>
The winners are rather clear at this point (see the tables and
charts below). Except for the final twist. As usual I reserve the
right to change to rules and so I am going to throw in a new one.
In order to be declared a victor you must attend the "awards lunch"
at Plaza Azteca on Friday and receive your prize. Your absence
will forfeit your victory to the next placed individual. So Chris
S. can either ride centuries the next three days to pass Dave
Douglas, or hope that Dave doesn't show up on Friday. <br>
<br>
1.5metric tons of CO2 not in the atmosphere due to our efforts!!
176 gallons of gas not burned, and 60lbs of body mass not
accumulated!!!<br>
<br>
Two "user" participants this year, one participating from offsite
(see attached picture of his most recent ride)! The first woman
participant! <br>
<br>
Fellow "rec_bikers" are welcome to join us. Every please let me
know if you plan to attend so I can get a table with enough seats.
<br>
<br>
Looking forward to seeing everyone Friday at Plaza Azteca! Let's
see if we can recover some of that 60lbs!!!<br>
<br>
Anyone up for a WCCC (Winter Solstice to Spring Equinox)? <br>
<br>
Cheers!<br>
