Ken has logged his first ride! He is an Owl shifter and has some
work to do convincing his family of the advisability of night
riding but he is optimistic that they will convert.

Meanwhile, Will is a beast with 100% Consistency (though he
hasn't logged his miles today). Arne is the miles leader with
143. And through the magic of weekend work, I have the most days
ridden (8).
As Mat and Arne can attest, safety is paramount. Cycling saves gas,
emissions, and wear & tear on your car's engine. It helps keep
the rider healthier... if you make sure to make each ride a safe
one.
Well this is sad news. Chris was the milage winner last year so
he retires at the top of his game. Chris also slogged through
two years of route 17 construction and logged o 2632 miles in
2014 and 2015 FCCC, making him the overall mileage leader to
date. Once the rules for induction into the ACCC Hall-of-Fame
are approved, Chris will be the top of nomination list.

The first (partial) week has ended. Arne has jumped to an
early lead in the Mileage category. Will and myself are
keeping pace with him in the Consistency (100%!). I find
myself with the most days biked due to the unfortunate
circumstance of having worked this past weekend.

stopping you? Friday was a gorgeous day for a ride!
I'd like to thank Mike for taken on configuring the Commute
Challenge spreadsheet for 2016. Yes, I crash out in
spectacular fashion last year. Shoulder has more or less
recovered. Still working on the teeth but that has been a
lifelong issue for me. Anyway, yes I intend to ride this
year, although promises have been made to be a bit less
committed to the cause.
I won't be greasing my chain, as I've upgrade to a belt
