Hi Lena,

I am glad that Ops is planning to work on our bleedthrough problem on Monday. If indeed the pass change has been delayed to Wednesday, we can continue taking data on NH3 until Tuesday and then switch to C for the last 3 shifts before the pass change. We should probably plan to replace the present NH3 sample with the other one Chris had in mind on Wednesday.

Saturday, August 13

Day Shift: Took data with NH3(+), HWP IN. Target polarization ~51%. Bleedthru test showed ~1nA current from Hall C.

Swing Shift: Target polarization stopped growing at around 51%. Target group performed an anneal between 4 and 6pm. After the anneal, target polarization reached 58%, and we resumed taking data. Bleedthru test showed ~1nA current from Hall C

Sunday, August 14th
Owl Shift: Took data with NH3(+), HWP IN. Experienced BMT trips and DAQ problems. Called Sergey to resolve the DAQ issues.

Day Shift. Continued taking data. Bleedthru test showed ~1nA current from Hall C. We have adjusted reported ABUs to account for this problem.

Plan for the rest of the weekend: continue to take data on NH3. Switch HWP to OUT during the day shift on Sunday.

PD informs us that 1) Pass change has been delayed to Wednesday (17th of August) and 2) Accelerator will try to redirect our bleedthru current to Hall A on Monday, which will require some downtime. There will be more discussion about it in Monday morning meetings.

There will be no RC meeting today unless requested by the collaborators.

Day 4.0 nA on NH3 (HWP IN), completed runs 16672(52M), 16673(7M), 16674(16M)
Swing 4.0 nA on NH3 (HWP IN), completed runs 16675(57M), 16676(66M)
Owl 4.0 nA on NH3 (HWP IN), completed runs 16678(24M), 16679(25M), 16681(73M)
