Tim:

My two questions would be.

1.) Do we want to throw away events with large beam current changes?

2.) How should the uncertainty in the FC be propagated?

Normalizing using the FC relies on linearity of the CLAS12 detector. 
Cutting away helicity blocks with large current fluctuations restricts
this dependence to a smaller range.  Even with a FC>100 counts cut
(https://clasweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/File:R16330FC.png), I see "
shoulders" on the FC asymmetry that cause the mean of the asymmetry
distribution to shift sign compared to the mean from a Gaussian fit.
