Dear Silvia et al.,

we had a short meeting today, but nobody had anything to present. We spent most of the time talking about what’s going to happen over the next few days (and weeks after that), given that Jefferson Lab is very likely to be in a suspended state (95% of employees furloughed) starting Friday, mandatory holiday tomorrow). It wasn’t entirely clear to any of the people present what all will be affected - but here are some ideas on how to prepare:
1) Ifarms may be down or at least inaccessible starting Friday. If you can download high-level data (Root files etc.) or other material that will help you to remain productive over the next weeks, it might be a good idea to do this. Keep also other JLab-hosted databases in mind, e.g., Overleaf, our Wiki, indico,...
2) Our standard Zoom link may stop working as it is supported by JLab. We can probably use some University Zoom as an alternative.
3) … however, it isn’t even clear to me if JLab emails, and/or the JLab listserver will still work. It might be good to
   a) check that your subscription to rgc and rgc_analysis is through your home institution’s email address (or any other non-JLab email), at least in addition to your jlab.org<http://jlab.org> email
   b) send a non-jlab email way to contact you to Silvia (sorry Silvia if you get spammed). (I am writing this from a non-JLab account).

If anyone has other advice, please share. I am afraid that most if not all of our JLab collaborators will be unable to work and/or answer emails over the foreseeable future, until there is a new budget or continuing resolution passed.
