[Sane-analysis] Minutes if Feb 10 Analysis Meeting

_*Anusha:*_ Talk for APS meeting next week, in Washington DC.
http://www.jlab.org/~anusha/APS-2010.pptx

_*James:*_ Integrated baseline signal for various ranges, both symmetric
and asymmetric around the NMR peak. The difference was marginal ~0.5%.
Decided to use baseline signal in cases where NMR peak is shifted and
maybe integrate over range symmetric to peak. Will show some results soon.

_*Luwani*_ Beam position study. Redid plots from last weeks meeting.

_*Whit:*_ Gave outline for his APS talk next week in Washington DC. Will
send a draft to the mailing list once it's ready.

_*Jon:*_ Cerenkov timing. Made Cerenkov_TDCs overall the mirrors. Will
do individually for each mirror to get parameterization. This will be
useful in resolving the shifting TDC peaks for some of the mirrors.

Looked at parallel asymmetry vs. run with updated Analyzer.

*_Hovhannes:_* Looked at SR distribution for range of parallel runs
(72912-72924) with curious asymmetries. Noticed that edge of target
getting hit by beam, which seemed to be off in position. Applied cut to
SR with varying sizes (radius of 0.5 and 0.75cm). This doesn't seem to
make any significant difference.

Hovhannes and Jon are having inconsistent results for their parallel
asymmetries. Oscar suggested they make tables containing numbers
including asymmetry, target polarization, ...

_*Narbe:*_ Working on getting the SANE GEANT(3) to work on Octavian. Has
had success in getting it to compile and use Peter Bosted's model
(F1F2IN09). Having some problems with the reconstruction part. The main
issue seems to be the fact that when this entire package (MC and
reconstruction) was written in a different Linux environment and there
are some subtleties that need to be resolved. Will give an update on his
progress next week.

_*Hoyoung:*_ Started working on getting packing fractions from HMS
parallel data. Will first try to reproduce Narbe's preliminary results.

Will redo HMS parallel asymmetries with updated Analyzer, containing
updated param file for HMS.

Mark, Oscar, and Narbe meet with Hoyung and Seonho biweekly by phone.
The time for the regular meetings here is very early morning over in Korea.

If there is anything incorrect and/or missing please feel free to respond.

Next meeting will be Feb 17 2010 at 3:30pm
