[Sane-analysis] Minutes of July 14, 2010 Meeting

_*Hoyoung:*_ Used cut on W for packing fractions, picking out region
where data/MC is most constant/stable. Seems to improve comparison of
data to MC, especially for vertex_z. Packing fractions don't change by a
significant amount. Narbe will also try a cut on W(region) on his
attempts. Was wondering about vertex_z peak being somewhat higher for
data. This can attributed to the resolution. Making good progress.
Will look at SR-y hemisphere regions (top and bottom halves,
individually) to look for any settling.

_*John:*_ Looking at lucite. Compared lucite and cluster position
variables. Made 1d histograms and 2-d, to look for correlations.
Lucite_z seems to show the curvature of the lucite. Used cuts similar to
what James did for his work on the front-tracker. Will try with nclust=1
and cerh=1.

_*James:*_ Looking at beam polarization. Took Dave Gaskell's subroutines
and translated them into PERL. Producing tables for beam polarization as
function of run#. Some run-ranges look constant, but a good part appear
to have some dependence over time. This could partly be form not having
the Wien angle set optimally for HallC and having some polarization
bleed to the other Hall(s). Will correct for 1/2-wave plate and show
results to Dave Gaskell.

_*Narbe:*_ Looking at Carbon runs. Noticed that some appear to be more
of Carbon+Helium runs. This causes some of the data/MC scaling to go up
to ~120%, with an extra contribution from the He.
This could from not knowing the liquid Helium levels during a good part
of the running and the nose levels rising at times, bringing in lHe
during data taking. Investigating by looking at scalers over time. Narbe
is looking at perp runs and Hoyoung is looking at parallel runs.
