[Sane-analysis] Minutes of July 14, 2010 Meeting

_*Hoyoung:*_ Used cut on W for packing fractions, picking out region 
where data/MC is most constant/stable. Seems to improve comparison of 
data to MC, especially for vertex_z. Packing fractions don't change by a 
significant amount. Narbe will also try a cut on W(region) on his 
attempts. Was wondering about vertex_z peak being somewhat higher for 
data. This can attributed to the resolution. Making good progress.
Will look at SR-y hemisphere regions (top and bottom halves, 
individually) to look for any settling.

_*John:*_ Looking at lucite. Compared lucite and cluster position 
variables. Made 1d histograms and 2-d, to look for correlations. 
Lucite_z seems to show the curvature of the lucite. Used cuts similar to 
what James did for his work on the front-tracker. Will try with nclust=1 
and cerh=1.

_*James:*_ Looking at beam polarization. Took Dave Gaskell's subroutines 
and translated them into PERL. Producing tables for beam polarization as 
function of run#. Some run-ranges look constant, but a good part appear 
to have some dependence over time. This could partly be form not having 
the Wien angle set optimally for HallC and having some polarization 
bleed to the other Hall(s). Will correct for 1/2-wave plate and show 
results to Dave Gaskell.

_*Narbe:*_ Looking at Carbon runs. Noticed that some appear to be more 
of Carbon+Helium runs. This causes some of the data/MC scaling to go up 
to ~120%, with an extra contribution from the He.
This could from not knowing the liquid Helium levels during a good part 
of the running and the nose levels rising at times, bringing in lHe 
during data taking. Investigating by looking at scalers over time. Narbe 
is looking at perp runs and Hoyoung is looking at parallel runs.
