International Nuclear Physics Conference, July 2010, Vancouver

Abstract

To learn about the proton spin structure functions, an inclusive scattering experiment is used to extract the spin structure functions g₁, g₂ from the spin asymmetries A₁ and A₂. This is done at four momentum transfer 2.5 ≤ Q² ≤ 6.5 GeV² and Bjorken x, 0.3 ≤ x ≤ 0.8

Pair-Symmetric Background analysis is done to recover data at low x. The experiment was performed with the 6.0 GeV electron beam at Thomas Jefferson Lab National Accelerator Facility at Newport News,Virginia.
