Hoyoung: Used tracking efficiency correction of Anusha's
to look at runs used for getting packing fractions. This seemed to
decrease the useful W-range some (1.2-16GeV -> 1.2-1.5GeV). Mark
thinks this might be caused by edge effects and/or inefficient edge
scintillators being used suggested using a wider range of scintillators
to see if this helps. It appears that some packing fractions don't
change much with this. Will look at some of the runs with super-low
efficiency due to the HMS DC gas drop.
James: Looking at tracking particles to Front Tracker.
Compared hits from tracker to projections from physics angles theta and
phi. These 2 methods agree well in the Tracker region then diverge.
Hovhannes suggested that the divergence might be mostly from the low
energy particles (<1GeV). Oscar did a parallel study and seems to be
consistent with what James is seeing. These results seem to suggest
better agreement at forward angles.
Narbe/Hovhannes: Incorporated slow raster into the GEANT.
Made gen-MC files for parallel and did a fit for reconstruction.
Perpendicular is in progress.
Looked at W distributions for parallel, perpendicular as well as no
field settings with Q2 binning. Compared reconstructed with generated
and seem to have good overall agreement. Will look at using one more Q2
bin and re-bin W to account for the resolution seen in the data.
Whit: Working on documentation for his analysis C++/ROOT
based software InSANE. Showed an informative presentation. Encourages
people to try to use this, especially fellow students.
Jon: Working on implementing a cellular automata based
method for cluster reconstruction for the physics MC (pmc). Will
compare with reconstruction from GEANT.
