*** Mark mentioned that the computing center is going to be pushing for
posts to be on more protected sites. This means that it will become
necessary to post on https sites, which the group site happens to be. <br>
Oscar has prepared directories on the group directory for everyone to
upload things they plan on showing instead of their own public_html
directories<br>
/group/sane/www/<br>
The website is then<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/">https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/</a><br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>Luwani:</b></u> Looking at ratios of e+/e- with (approximate) HMS
and BETA kinematics.<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/Ratio_of_Background_Particles_to_Electrons">https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/Ratio_of_Background_Particles_to_Electrons</a><br>
Will start working on getting this implemented in to the GEANT-MC for
generating these particles.<br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>James:</b></u> Corrected his code for elastic radiative tail
corrections. They seem reasonable now.<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/Radiative_Corrections#Adding_Arbitrary_Target_Field_Orientation:_7.2F20.2F2011">https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/Radiative_Corrections#Adding_Arbitrary_Target_Field_Orientation:_7.2F20.2F2011</a><br>
Will try applying to physics analysis.<br>
<br>
Looked at physics asymmetries A_1,2 and ssf's g_1,2 with latest
(Cerenkov and BETA) calibrations.<br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/A1%2C_A2_and_Structure_Functions#Update_after_New_Calibration:_7.2F20.2F2011">https://hallcweb.jlab.org/experiments/sane/wiki/index.php/A1%2C_A2_and_Structure_Functions#Update_after_New_Calibration:_7.2F20.2F2011</a><br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>Narbe:</b></u> Working with Mark, got an interpolation routine
for implementing rad-corrected cross-sections in to the GEANT-MC for
the dilution factors.<br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>Mark:</b></u> Working with Anusha on the issue of the apparently
mysterious focal-plane off-sets in the HMS part of the replay. So far
there doesn't seem to be anywhere in the analysis package for these.
Will look at things w/o the offsets.<br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>Oscar:</b></u> Comparing ssf's g_1,2 data/FOM. The statistics are
known to be lower than what was proposed due to known reasons (target
and beam issues, Cerenkov and BigCal efficiencies). This has a cut of
E' > 1.3 GeV <br>
<a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" href="http://twist.phys.virginia.edu/~or/sane/FOM_vs_data.pdf">http://twist.phys.virginia.edu/~or/sane/FOM_vs_data.pdf</a><br>
Estimates that error bars for the 4.7GeV data may decrease by ~>
30%, after some of the data gets recovered (via better calibrations).
Will also try looking with E' > 0.8 GeV.<br>
<br>
<br>
<u><b>Hoyoung (07/21/11):</b></u> Replayed some of the carbon runs with
the updated HMS replay. For the most part the data/MC don't agree and
appear worse than before. There may be a problem with the kinematics
database file being used, possibly the slower raster slopes. Mark will
check this out.<br>

<br>
<br>
As always, please let me know if I missed anything or if I have made
any mistake(s).<br>
<br>
Next meeting will be July 27th at 3:30pm (JLab time).<br>
