Dear SBS collaborators,
As was discussed in today's weekly meeting, we have an urgent need
for manpower over the next month or two to allow beam tests to be
carried out during this running period. Last November's DOE review
made only two recommendations, one of which was that the thermal
annealing technique be tested in realistic radiation environment before
finalizing the design. The availability of two or three graduate
students or postdocs could make a critical difference in the
installation and instrumentation of the 16 ECAL modules with 7 hadron
calorimeter modules to define a trigger.
If you can contribute some manpower in the near term to assist in
achieving this important goal, please contact Mark Jones.
Thanks,
Brian Quinn
