Dear friends of GMn,
The experiment will have four weeks of beam in January-February 2022.
The 2021 run provided us very good data for three values of the four-momentum transfer and allowed us to advance commissioning of the spectrometers and detectors systems. The expected result for GMn at 13 GeV2 will be x10+ more accurate than the currently known one.
The main challenge in the remaining four weeks of the run is due to the relatively small collaboration presently on site. This is mostly due to travel restrictions. It is also because almost each part of the experiment is new and the group has been very busy doing expert support work.
We are writing to you with a request to come again to help GMn and to encourage your students to take many more shifts on data taking work. Your help with shifts is urgent, see sign-up here<https://misportal.jlab.org/mis/apps/physics/shiftSchedule/index.cfm?experimentRunId=GMn-2021>. To get access to the JLab site you need, at least one week in advance, to complete on-line training and fulfill other requirements, see https://www.jlab.org/human_resources/jris/registration.
Have a great holiday and a Happy New Year 2022.
Best regards to each of you,
Bogdan also for Alex, Brian, and David
