Logbooks: HALOG<https://logbooks.jlab.org/book/halog>
The machine recovery from the LCW break last night took longer than was initially hoped (https://logbooks.jlab.org/entry/3928502), and there was not any beam overnight.
So far we have not collected any HCAL calibration data or LD2 production data at this kinematic setting.
The machine is now open for the maintenance day, and the hall is transitioning to restricted access. Jessie and his team will be working on prestaging work for the transition to the next kinematic setting due to happen either Friday or Monday. Ben and the other DAQ experts will be working to improve our diagnostics of the APV card issues. Please keep the RC informed about other work you need to do in the hall.
OPS expects to begin locking up the accelerator toward the end of day shift, and to be delivering beam to the halls by midnight. You should anticipate that we would be doing the sweep of the hall around the end of day shift or early in swing shift. We could likely stay in controlled access for a few hours after that time if needed.
I will hand over RC responsibilities to Bill Henry at the 3:15 meeting today. I expect that the plan for tonight will remain the 2-pass setup and beginning to take production data on the LD2 target as described in https://sbs.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/Run_Plan_for_2-pass_Setup.
We had been in step 5, target centering/raster calibration, having delayed doing the ion chamber calibration on the optic target by suggestion from Yves. We will need to resume the raster calibration when we get back up.
