Additional details below.<br /></span></p><p> </p><p>Low-priority things:</p><ul><li>Timing hodoscope (remove card <strong>which will stay in hall</strong>).</li><li>GRINCH (It would be a 2 hour minimum--contact Maria and/or Todd).<br /><br /></li></ul><div>Items discussed with Crew Chief:</div><ul><li>Escorted access for Holly to get a visual inspection of the INFN JO GEM.<ul><li>Would require a extended down (Holly lives ~20 minutes away, OWL is okay).</li><li>A note will be left for Crew Chiefs letting them know about this request.</li></ul></li><li>Escorted access for absorber (<em>added instructions below</em>) as per Bogdan.<ul><li>Safety equipment: Earplugs <strong>are MANDATORY</strong>.</li><li>Plastic absorber in back counting room.</li><li>Absorber must be placed close to scattering chamber.</li><li>Absorber is tall enough that the top edge will be above the aluminum foil window of the chamber.</li><li>Weight from in the hall must be placed on the floor to keep absorber from sliding.</li><li>GEM Expert <strong>MUST BE</strong> available after placement to determine background suppression. Given the thickness of the absorber there should be a 1.5x reduction. <strong>AND...</strong> if we don't see the anticipated reductions then the plastic absorber will have to be removed (requiring a second access).</li><li>I spoke to Daniel Moser (Crew Chief) and due to the proximity to the scattering chamber this will require RadCon and will most likely not occur until at least Monday. Ralph came in to double check the issue and make sure it wasn’t a hodoscope hardware problem.
