Ah yes good point, it was not obvious with low statistics I guess, and might look worse because of log scale.
Maybe in analysis, can take into account amplitude matching a bit differently when it is close to saturation, do both coordinates saturate at the same time, or do you need to loosen the cut not loose those events or is is better to just cut them off since unlikely to be a MIP ?

I would not lower the HV on this GEM. The HV setting on this GEM was already pretty close to optimal from the efficiency scan. Some saturation in some small fraction of events is inevitable. This plot does not indicate any problem. I do NOT think the gain is too high. In, fact, you see this in some fraction of events in EVERY module:

So let's please understand what we're looking at before we start recommending changes in the experiment running conditions.
