As I know tomorrow day HV need to be off. Even 0.5 hours data could reveal the source of concern.

Hi Kondo,

We are not prepared to do all this work tonight. Also you would probably want at least 1 to 2 hours at each point that you suggest, so there is not enough time. We can work on it tomorrow though.

Best,
Sean

Hi Kondo,

I personally do not know how to really manipulate the DAQ to do these tasks. If a DAQ person is available or another GEM person knows how to properly manipulate the DAQ to accomplish this, I have no problem taking data like this. Also how long (i.e. how many events of cosmic data) would one want at each one of these DAQ configurations.

Hi Zeke & Holly,

For the cosmic run tonight with the GEMs, we would like to have a few specific runs to investigate the APV25 signal flip that we are observing with the data with beam so far.

So the plan is to have 3 dedicated runs:

1-) First run: standard run with online zero suppression (containing full non zero suppressed raw APV data every 100 events).

2-) Second run: run with no online zero suppression where we have access to all APV raw data

3-) third run: Zero suppressed event with 1 full raw APV data every 10 events

For this 3rd run, I don’t know if it is just a matter to set a variable in DAQ configuration file or if this would require any modification from Ben. If so, I guess we could skip it for tonight and discuss it tomorrow at GEM meeting.

Please let us know if this plan is clear and if you see any issue with that. If we have the data, then we could already have a first look at the APV raw data frames with Xinzhan script at the GEM meeting tomorrow

Best regards

Kondo
