Dear all,

We had a brief meeting this afternoon to review the commissioning plan and software. The recording of what we discussed is here:

From sbs.jlab.org, the commissioning plan for the GEMs is linked:
Click Commissioning Plan, then GEM High Voltage Efficiency Scans
The plan is located here: https://sbs.jlab.org/cgi-bin/DocDB/private/ShowDocument?docid=317
Everyone should familiarize themselves with the GEM documentation. From our GEM wiki: https://hallaweb.jlab.org/wiki/index.php/GMn_GEM_Commissioning_Meeting, click GEM running How-To for shifters and experts<https://sbs.jlab.org/cgi-bin/DocDB/public/ShowDocument?docid=303> and get to: https://sbs.jlab.org/cgi-bin/DocDB/public/ShowDocument?docid=303
Note the information on how to set the voltage for the special power supply in BB (in the document).
Also, there is a key/mapping for the SBS GEMs in the Hall to how they are called in software at this link (from GEM wiki, click Editable GEN GEM Change Log<https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OavLSHDLbAceKJoC7cCLvSE3PhVOLCwV4-mGScGaOq8/edit?usp=sharing>):
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1OavLSHDLbAceKJoC7cCLvSE3PhVOLCwV4-mGScGaOq8/edit?usp=sharing
See tab SBSGEM_Config_0

GEM experts can sign up for weeks here:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/18-5DuFuVJUpiEitA2ncjH6Ch-l8YZDNiCLETkdXqegk/edit?usp=sharing
GEM experts should keep their phone on, be actively monitoring and keeping up with the run and conditions, and should be available to be on site on short notice (not out of town).

It is seeming likely we will do commissioning next week, maybe Tuesday-Wednesday time frame.

Please reply to this email with comments and questions.
-Holly
