Subject: No work in Halls, ESB or EEL over holiday weekend


Hello all,
           Thia has sent me a notice that there should be no work in the Halls, ESB , EEL, Testlab or
other experimental work areas over this holiday weekend.
The DOE recently sent a memo to all DOE labs that basically said that all work
on weekends and holidays will be considered high risk and would have to be justified.
There is a ongoing discussion about how to interpret and implement this memo.
So the lab is taking the very conservative approach for this holiday weekend of not allowing
any work until they develop a policy.
Thia is holding  a meeting on Friday morning at 9am with physics division leadership
to give more info. So after the meeting, I will send out what additional info that I learn.
