[Sbs_gems] [Revised Logentry] GEM L6M23 trip with pending short

The trip limit is at 350uA. It draws about 280uA with short and no beam. I expect it to draw something a bit higher than that with beam (10-20uA). I think it’s increasing because it did not fully short. That’s why I asked the shift crew to call again if it trips.

Dear Holly or other GEM experts,

How much current is L6M23-G3 allowed to draw? Imon has been 280 since they were turned on again, and is now at 320, i.e. about 30 times the high values of other high channel. Not sure what the trip threshold is presently set to.

I note that the trip had happened suddenly around 6:15pm when the beam tripped and also killed the DAQ then.

Got a call from the shift crew that L6M23 had tripped. It appears to have shorted or at least to have a pending short on G3 (G2 was known). I ramped it back on with higher trip limits. It is still wandering a bit which makes me think the short isn't completely shorted, but it seems to be performing here. The shift crew should call back if it trips again so we can study it.

Shown here in orange is G3, blue is the beam current and green is G2.
