<div dir="ltr">We have conducted the HV tests on all of the GEMs. We did a slow voltage ramp up on each module/layer independently and held it at that maximum voltage while we inspected for anything unusual (fluctuating current, audible/visible sparks, etc.). No GEMs showed any unusual operation or raised any points of concern about their well-being. From the HV test standpoint, they seem to be okay. <div><br></div><div>We will continue this inspection by holding HV overnight while monitoring the currents. </div><div><br></div><div>Before moving on from the overnight HV hold I wanted to get confirmation on the next steps. If all goes well with the HV hold, should we then switch over to Ar/CO2 in the morning and run cosmics starting tomorrow evening?</div><div><br></div><div>If this seems like a reasonable plan then that will be what we work towards. hall incidents.<br>

As per Jessie's input (and please Jessie correct me if I'm wrong), a good<br>
moment to check out your detector is sometimes this weekend e.g. tomorrow,<br>
as he and his team won't be around (unless something changes and he and<br>
his team need to go work in the hall this weekend in which case he will<br>
warn me.<br>
<br>
*if that cannot happen this weekend* a right moment to check the GEM out<br>
would be around 2pm on Monday when they are pausing on-going work in the<br>
hall, so you can coordinate with them;<br>
<br>
Either way *please warn me ahead of time* when you decide to check the<br>
GEMs, just so that I can, if need be, coordinate with Jessie.<br>
