Hi everyone,
It looks like SBS and Hall A in general came out pretty well from the software review that just ended. The SBS presentation went very smoothly (though I had to end up giving it remotely due to weather) and there were only a few questions. They seemed satisfied with where we are regarding reconstruction, our planned path forward, and the resources we have allocated.
In general they seemed happy with our plans to eventually fully analyze virtual data and believed this was important for us. They suggested we look into machine learning methods to help tackle the tracking problem (something I agree we should look into). They were also glad to see that we have a good, talented pool of people who are working together on these issues, in particular Eric, Juan Carlos, and Danning.
There's a draft of their report here

I wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped in getting this ready, especially Eric and Danning with getting results on the tracking together in the time leading up to this. All your efforts and prompt contributions were important to getting through this successfully.
I'll pass on anything else I may hear. I expect we'll discuss this further next week at the Monday simulation meeting and SBS Wednesday meeting.
Best,
Seamus
