[Sbs_software] FYI on server migration of /work/halla/sbs to take place Friday morning

Hello all,

The computer center needs to move the SBS /work disk to a new server to
accommodate our request to increase the quota from 1 TB to 10 TB. That's a good thing since
that new server is faster. The existing 1TB of files have been copied,
and now they would like to know when they can do the switchover. During
the switchover, which will take just a few minutes of final rsync-ing,
no files should be open under /work/halla/sbs, or the changes might be
lost. And NFS clients need to remount that directory after the switch,
or else they will see the old files. The current plan is for this server changeover to take place on Friday morning, August 27, at around 8:00-9:00 AM.

It's an unfortunate, one-time hassle, but this is just an FYI/heads-up to not be actively working in the /work/halla/sbs work disk area when the switchover is occurring.

Best regards,
Andrew
