Hello all,

With the recent release of GEANT4 10.7 I am browsing the documentation and seeing that there have been some significant changes to optical photon physics, some of which may make our lives easier.

https://geant4-userdoc.web.cern.ch/UsersGuides/ForApplicationDeveloper/html/TrackingAndPhysics/physicsProcess.html#optical-photon-processes

I am reading and understanding this new documentation, and thinking about the implications for g4sbs, what code changes might become necessary, backwards compatibility, and when and whether to start requiring Geant4 10.7 as minimum version.

Of course we don’t want to get out ahead of JLab in terms of what GEANT4 version we require/support.

Cheers,
Andrew
