Hello all,

I was going to hold a software/analysis meeting today, but this morning I am digging out from under about a foot of snow (and counting), and I haven’t really figured out the new zoom meeting system yet, so I’m canceling today’s software meeting. We will resume next week.

In the meantime, please review the important information below.

Highest priorities for the weekend:
Getting ready for resumption of the experiment: checklist for software and replay database:

  *   Cosmic data taking and analysis with different combinations of SBS+BB fields.
     *   Provakar: Determine optimal BBCAL HV settings for running at the new kinematics under production and various other conditions.
     *   Andrew/Sean/GEM experts: Check out and align new U/V strip GEM layer that will replace J0.
  *   Andrew/Sean: Preparation of the database for replay with new U/V strip GEM layer
  *   Eric: Simulations for the next kinematics. Estimate background rates/beam currents. Evaluation of n/p separation for quasi-elastics and estimation of optimal SBS field setting for production
  *   Andrew: Calculate simulation optics model for the new kinematics. Update BB spectrometer database.
  *   Holly/Andrew: Specify optics run plan, communicate with RC(s).
  *   Document the crucial replay plots for shift crews: GEMs (Andrew), BBCAL (Provakar/Arun), HCAL (Scott/Sebastian)
  *   Anything else?


For next week:


  *   Working example scripts for automated batch farm replay using swif2
  *   High-level GMN software and analysis TO-DO list
  *   Status of optics and momentum calibrations
  *   Reports from subsystem experts

Sorry for the meeting cancellation but I’m a little bit too busy/otherwise occupied today for this meeting to be productive (for me). Feel free to meet without me if you like.
