Hello all,
I'm probably going to have to miss the meeting this week since I'm speaking in a JLab SciComp review at the same time.
The status of pass 2 is as follows:
Notwithstanding some significant drama fighting with the batch farm over the last week, SBS4,7,11,14, and 8 are (I believe) done or at least mostly done.
On or around Monday (or perhaps Tuesday) morning, someone (not from our collaboration AFAIK) submitted a "problematic" workflow that more or less broke the farm and took down a large fraction of all nodes. I don't think the farm has yet fully recovered from that incident in terms of stability/reliability. Perhaps there should be a little bit more gatekeeping in terms of who is allowed to submit jobs and perhaps some small-scale testing/validation requirements before mass job submissions need to be imposed?
SBS9 is still pending. Probably done by Monday? Hopefully?
Root files and log files can be found in:
/mss/halla/sbs/prod/gmn/pass2_take3 (and self-explanatory subdirectories thereof)
/cache/mss/halla/sbs/prod/gmn/pass2_take3 (although here I can't necessarily guarantee persistence for any significant length of time).
/volatile/halla/sbs/sbs-gmn/GMN_REPLAYS/pass2_take3 (and subdirectories thereof).
Note that on tape and cache, the SBS11 LD2 rootfiles are subdivided into "part1" "part2" and "part3" according to the three periods corresponding to distinct trigger times/latencies that occurred during SBS11 running (December 2021). But this is not the case on /volatile due to a mistake I made in submitting the jobs. On /volatile, all the SBS11 LD2 rootfiles (about 40,000 of them) are under a common directory.
I am fairly certain all kinematics but SBS9 are finished and ready to be analyzed.
Best regards,
Andrew
