Subject: [EXTERNAL] Weekly update


In preparation for the upcoming PPU independent project review in mid Sept., the project website went live this week for reviewers to begin downloading presentations and project material. Also, the project office finalized a proposed list of high-level milestones for BES to judge PPU FY22 PEMP notable outcome progress. In the SRF area, 3 coupler sets are ready for transport to JLab, and the first high power horizontal test was conducted in the SNS test cave. At JLab, work continues on the first cold mass assembly, end-can inspections and cavity jacketing and qualification. In the RF area vendor deliveries are the primary focus, with receipt of LLRF electronic field control modules components, the re-worked first article RF circulator, and reworked RF loads. In the ring area, the new injector magnet conductor purchase was awarded at the partner lab FNAL. In the target systems, test target 1 was received at SNS, and the recently installed MOTS delay bed was brought into operation. Installation is progressing in the klystron gallery with RF waveguide placed to a mockup klystron set.
