Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update


This week the final cavity for the last PPU superconducting cryomodule passed qualification at JLab. Also the cryomodule end can repair at ORNL was complete, and is being readied for shipment to JLab. RF staff visited vendors for the transmitter and klystron components, with a focus on ensuring timely equipment delivery needed for the upcoming phase 2 of the power ramp-up. In the Ring area the beam power limiting system (BPLS) is undergoing passive shakeout tests during operations, and the new BPLS current monitor calibration stand arrived. In the target system area, the mercury overflow tank final assembly is complete, and the ortho-para convertor pressure vessel passed the leak test at the vendor. The RTBT stub construction procurement requisition is now under final DOE review.
