Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update


The PPU project controls team participated in the ORNL earned value management system surveillance review this week. This review required significant preparation and the PPU team provided a critical service for the ORNL project management office with their stellar performance. In the superconducting RF area the third cryomodule from our partner JLab arrived at SNS on Thursday. In the RF area, 3 new klystrons were installed on a tank for installation in the gallery. In the Ring area we continue to monitor and process data as part of the shakeout of the newly installed beam power limiting system. In the target area, a new cryogenic carbon adsorber system is now installed and in service, as part of the mercury off-gas treatment upgrade. Klystron gallery installation continues with installation of the first transmitter cooling cart, the first klystron tank and the first RF circulator.
