Subject: [EXTERNAL] PPU weekly update

PPU continued to prepare newly installed equipment for operational use and remains on track to support the power ramp-up in the upcoming run cycle. The first 2 newly installed cryomodules were successfully cooled down to 2K for the first time in the tunnel. The full set of RF equipment powering the 2 new cryomodules was run at high power into shorts (to prevent power from going into the tunnel) in a shakeout run this week. Also, one of the newly installed klystrons was replaced. In the target area, a new gas distribution panel needed for the long outage next summer was installed early. In the Ring area, we visited the partner lab FNAL to observe magnet measurement and fabrication progress.
