<span style="color:black">PPU is preparing project management systems for tracking the entire project following a scheduled ESAAB meeting October 6. Known project change requests are being processed to enable a clean start for baselining and project performance
tracking moving beyond CD-2/3 approval. PPU has a healthy funding carryover which will assist in maintaining momentum as we move into the start of construction of project areas not previously covered in long lead procurements.

<span style="color:black">In the SRF area, the first cavity that did not perform well in its receipt test last week will be reprocessed at JLab and plans are for retesting it next week. The next 2 cavities (also received at JLab) will be tested the following
week. After these tests, an assessment will be made about resumption of cavity shipments from the vendor. Work is also progressing at JLab on cavity string mockup work, which is expected to wrap-up next week. There was a final design review this week for
the warm linac High Voltage Convertor Modulator with positive responses to the charges and some useful suggestions that will be addressed. In the ring area we are sub-contracting expertise at SLAC to assist with the beam power limiting system work in reaction
to a loss of a staff resource here. In the target area, recommendations from last week’s cryogenic moderator system final design review are being managed and will be closed in the next 2 months, well before procurement initiation is needed. In other target
system areas, the mercury process and off gas systems are preparing for a final design review, the off normal analysis workshop is on track for completion by video-conference the first week of October, and the thermal lab testing is impacted by quarantined
(COVID) electricians. In the conventional facility area, the klystron gallery contractor has requested an extension of the Feb. 2021 finish deadline, and we are working with them to manage remaining work to prevent this schedule slippage.

<span style="color:black">Finally, thanks to all those involved in preparing and presenting today’s Friday Forum PPU video-seminar. It was a good opportunity to update our colleagues on all the PPU progress the past year or so and went quite well. Sometimes
we don’t get a chance to step back and see what we’ve accomplished, and I think this opportunity certainly highlighted the tremendous progress accomplished since 2018. We will distribute the recorded video link.</span></p>
