This week the PPU project posted review material for the upcoming DOE Independent Project review on the review website. This review will be held onsite Sept. 27-29. In the superconducting RF area, we are testing and processing cavities
for the last remaining cryomodule to be built at JLab – namely the spare cryomodule. In the RF area the recently installed RF transmitter equipment is energized and undergoing shakeout in preparation for supporting initial high-power RF tests in the next few
weeks. In the Ring area final checks are being performed at our partner FNAL before the starting the coil winding process for the final magnet. In the target area gas panel installation for the mercury off gas treatment is ongoing and hydrogen is being purchased
to accommodate the increased inventory associated with the cryogenic moderator system upgrades. In the conventional facility area, a statement of work for the RTBT stub buildout is being prepared. Finally, installation efforts continue in the klystron gallery
and tunnel in parallel with the RF equipment shakeout.
