Hi, Xiaochao, Zhiwen and All,
Since we are not going to have a EC meeting tomorrow (right, Xiaochao?),
just drop a few words here.
Thanks Zhiwen for the information.
Took a quick glance at the information. A few interesting observations:
1) There is a low gain type of MAPMT to the H8500 series, which is
H10966 series. H8500 has R10551 and H10966 has R10552. The main
difference is the anode stages (H8500 has 12 while H10966 has only 8).
WhileH8500 is good for the Cherenkov detectors, low gain H10966 may be
better
for our preshower, which has significantly more photo-electrons compared
to the
Cherenkov detectors.
2) H7546B and H7546B-20) has R7600 inside. Zhiwen, please correct your
inf on the web.
3) In addition to the 64-channel MAPMTs, there are also 256 (H9500) and
16 channels
(H8711/H8711-20). We should find out from the test to see if we can use
multi-channel
or not, and which models will be the best fit.
4) The typical gain variation is 2:1 and maximum is 3:1 (at least for a
few secs i looked at).
Zhiwen,
would you please also get a better price quote for the single channel
PMT option?
Thanks.
