Scroll down to just below the huge table of prototype summary. I also got 2500p.e. just out of the shashlyk. However, we also need to consider light loss due to fiber connector and clear fiber attenuation, so the # of p.e. reaching the PMT will be smaller.
Also I compared the 2500p.e. with other publications and this value is still low: "2.5 p.e./MeV, which is now comparable to LHCb 2.6-3.5 p.e./MeV, but lower than ALICE 4-4.4 p.e./MeV, and KOPIO 53 p.e./MeV".
2. I will work with Paul Reimer on the support design. We don't have a new design yet.
3. The PMT base (divider) will be designed by JLab detector group.

Sorry for my worse network in last meeting. I list what we care as following:
1 about the energy resolution and light yield:
As I understand, we define the energy resolution of ECal with 1 GeV electron. I did quickly caculate: muon deposite energy about 2 MeV/(g.cm-2) in carbon, totle thinkess of scintillator is 30 g/cm2, so muon deposite 60 MeV in scintillator. 1 GeV electron almost deposite all energy in ECal, the mass ratio of scintillator and lead is Msc/Mpb=0.3, so about 300MeV deposited in scintillator.
So 1 GeV electon light yield is 5 (300/60) times high than single muon. If this is truth, we will receive more than 2500 PE (the old module already reach 500 PE per muon). So the energy resolution will be good enough.
We need your GEANT simulation to confirm the quirk calculation.
2 The assambly support
We once manufactured the assambly support according to Xiaochao provided drawing. We find some problem to assamble the modules with these support. Do we have new idea on assambling the module? The new module should match the assembly support, which also effect how to build the module, especially on the fible processing.
3 PMT and divide
who is charge of the PMT and the high voltage divider? the signal is also depended on PMT and divide.
