2023/2/2 meeting
Run update:
1. access Wed 2/1/23 – all
Findings:
1. Darren: CerSum with high-ShowerSum cut in TS4, with and without coincidence;
2. Xiaochao: followup on TS1, CerSum (300mV) threshold is at channel ~3000. If spe is at 150, we want to set threshold at 300 for e-trig or 30mV
3. Jixie: fixed L/R swap between level 0 and level1 trees. This happened to both preshower and shower. Recooked all data.
4. MIP in Shower, anyone?

Summary of MIP positions:
    • SC-A: ~ 500 (Darren Summary plot)
    • SC-C: ~150-200-ish
    • SC-D: ~500 (Darren Summary plot and Ye plot, threshold in TS2 with 10mV is at 800)
    • SC-B: ~500 to 600 (Ye plot shows simulated MIP Edep=2MeV for high-energy electrons as well as pions see IMG_6060.png, and high-energy electron in data shows the peak at 500-600-ish, see HallC_data_run4094_SCB.pdf; TS2 is triggering almost right at MIP and threshold needs to be halved.) (Darren plot also shows TS2 and TS5 threshold at ~500)
    • Preshower: visible and okay for now
    • Shower: To be found
    • LASPD: visible and okay for now

Runplan:
HV change:
    • Shower HV change: per Jimmy et al.
threshold change:
    1. TS1: CerSum from 300mV to 30mV; ShowerSum TBD;
    2. TS2: SC-D from 10mV to 5mV; SC-B from 10mV to 5mV; ShowerSum at 5mV or at half MIP (if identified);
    3. TS3: SC-D from 10mV to 5mV; ShowerSum at 5mV or at half MIP; CerSum to 30mV
    4. TS4: trigger threshold (?700mV) too low. Please adjust ShowerSum threshold, set PS=0 and take data at <4kHz rate. Note that due to HV change, thresholds need re-evaluated, 700mV as a starting point is reasonable.
    5. TS5: SC-B from 10mV to 5mV
Runs to take:
    • TS4 only
    • TS2 only
    • all TS
