[Solid_gem] Minutes for GEM monthly meeting in May

There were three reports given at the meeting, of which two were from USTC by Jianing and Yankun, respectively,  and one from CIAE by Siyu. 
One of the two USTC reports showed the design of the CASGEM readout board for the position encoding GEM readout scheme that had been presented by Binxiang a couple of times previously. The CASGEM readout board was designed to host 3 CASAGEMs amounting to 48 channels. The PCB board had been produced and was being tested with the whole position encoding readout system. 
Another USTC talk talked about preparation work for a spatial resolution test of the 30*30cm^2 large area GEM built at USTC. The test will be done with SFE16 chips which were used for MicroMegas at frond-end, and HPTDC for digitisation. The whole test system had been well prepared including the DAQ part. What was still missing at the time of the meeting was a metal panel for cable routing and fixing that was still in the machining. Hopefully the test system can be ready for use in two weeks. 
The CIAE report detailed the progress they had made in debugging the italian version of the APV25 readout system along with problems encountered and unsolved yet. The good news was stable pedestal and signals were observed when using a pulse generator, whereas the bad news was things seemed to be messed up once connected to a GEM detector.
