Dear Garth and All
The talk went all right and thanks for all your input.
Sorry if you can't hear the questions over phone clearly, they are
mostly technique details people don't remember or know and I just needed
to explain them a bit.
Here are some comments and to-dos
1. we are finishing up the reply in one to two week, there shouldn't be
much need from HGC.
2. We will start to update preCDR and make it a MIE for submission by
March. HGC will need to update its section with any design change and
critical info.
3. One critical info we need is to have a better estimation about the
gas system. Chao and I will try to get Jack to help on this after jlab
stops running this month.
4. We would need to have better idea about if HGC can have more room in
Z and what's best way to assemble it. It will need some overall
coordination with other subsystems, magnet design and engineering. The
collaboration will organize this after new year.
5. one comment is that if we can think about minimizing dead area and
material in the particle flight path, for example, the window frame. I
think this is not easy, but should be something we can think for our
next version of engineering design and simulation update.
Please let me know if you have any question or comment.
Thanks
Zhiwen
