Hi Gary

The epoxy used is West System G/Flex thickened epoxy.

The mating parts were not torqued together with the epoxy layer. Perhaps we should do a test with the parts torqued together and remeasure??? 
Garth, maybe your students can do this when they get around to gluing the test model.

Good info. That seems reasonable to me for epoxy. Were the parts clamped at full bolt torque? What specific product are you using?

Hello Everyone

So the thickness of epoxy I measured on the test pieces amounts to .008" . I would think this should be a safe measurement to go with for clearances between mating parts UNLESS we are not satisfied with this product after it has been tested on the test model. My thoughts are to probably wait on making changes to all part drawings until we are certain we are satisfied with this epoxy. You opinions are also welcome.
