Andrea Dotti showed a work-in-progress extension to GDML to handle hits 
and sensitive detector
Brett Viren showed GeGeDe as a geometry building tool which is well 
developed.
Frank Gaede showed DD4hep which covers simulation, reconstruction, and 
alignment and database connection with same underline detector geometry.
