Dear All
Here is another test of conversion from svn to github
====================================================================
The svn location
https://jlabsvn.jlab.org/svnroot/solid/
the github test location
https://github.com/JeffersonLab/solid_gemc_test
the github planned location (not existing yet)
https://github.com/JeffersonLab/solid_gemc
code running simulation,digitization simulation,analyzing simulation
result are all under one repo "solid_gemc"
It's mainly converted from svn dir "solid_gemc2" with all historic commit.
then add digitization/gem from Weizhi's current GEM digitization
then add study/tracking from Weizhi's current tracking
We can also add mrpc digitization and analysis code later
event generator will have individual repo
for example, something like "JeffersonLab/evgen_BHphoton" converted from
svn "evgen/genTCS"
All other stuff will be kept in SVN to keep the new repo clean.
All repo can be controlled by a solid admin team
Individual repo can have different admin persons to approve pull request.
Use "master" branch as devel and do standard github release with tar
ball as production.
Main development can be done by "fork first and submit pull request" mode.
====================================================================
Please check in anything you modified and want to keep in SVN by next week.
I plan to have svn frozen after Thanksgiving.
of course, you can always upload changes github later after conversion.
Please give comments
Thanks
Zhiwen
