Dear All
Any files on /cache now may need to be fetched from tape again after the

Thursday morning

This Thursday, August 8th 2019 starting at 8am there will be an
interruption in some farm and ifarm services to bring four new Lustre
storage servers into service. The following changes will be visible to
farm and ifarm users:
* ifarm machines will be rebooted
* A reservation will be placed on the farm to pause it at 8am on that
morning. Farm jobs scheduled to complete before that time will
execute, others will be queued until the maintenance work is done.
* Once the filesystem changes are made the farm will be restarted. We
do not anticipate this lasting past the morning.
* Some /cache areas will be repopulated after the change, but no files
will be deleted unless they have been written to tape.
* The remaining CentOS 6 machine, ifarm1101, will be decommissioned.
If you have CentOS 6 dependencies going forward, please submit an
incident report to https://jlab.service-now.com
<https://jlab.service-now.com/> and we will assist with the transition
After August 8th data will continue to be migrated from the old lustre
filesystem to the new system in a series of steps coordinated with
individual workgroups.
