*Software & Computing Round Table, May 5, 11:00 a.m. (EDT)*

Dear all:

In the Software & Computing Round Table on Tuesday, *May 5*, at *11:00
a.m. (EDT)*, we will discuss “*Status of Monte Carlo*". We are excited
to hear from Simon Plätzer, Christian Bierlich, and Stefan Hoeche:

   * Simon Plätzer (Vienna) will review the status of Monte Carlo event
generators for electron-proton processes and discuss also
     simulations of electron-ion processes.
   * Christian Bierlich (LUND) will present the Angantyr model for
heavy-ion collisions in the Pythia 8 event generator.
   * Stefan Hoeche (FNAL) will review the work on highly-parallelized
     event generation on HPC systems.
We will use *BlueJeans *(ID: 373678588) for the remote meeting. You will
be able to join via browser:

or dial into the meeting:

Brookhaven National Laboratory (BNL) and Jefferson Lab (JLAB) are
organizing a *Software & Computing Round Table* to foster the interplay
of computing and science. The monthly round table forum aims to
encourage knowledge transfer and to promote common projects within our
scientific community. More information about the Software & Computing
Round Table (upcoming meetings, previous presentations) can be found on:
https://www.jlab.org/roundtable

Yours sincerely,

Alexander Kiselev (BNL)
Amber Boehnlein (JLAB)
Graham Heyes (JLAB)
Mark Ito (JLAB)
Markus Diefenthaler (JLAB)
Ofer Rind (BNL)
Paul Laycock (BNL)
