<p dir="ltr">How much charge can one usually get from a MCP PMT and what is typical gain ? We might need to run at lower gain and amplify because of background and that could reduce also the timing performance. Also what is pulse width for mRPC and MCP PMTs ? I guess for readout we would need DRS5 or PSEC5 to be able to deal with pile up and reach 200 KHz trigger rate.</p>

If your calculations are correct, that is a pretty high rate for mRPCs to be able to handle, so I think MCP-PMT’s should be the better option here.<br>
