Hi,

We discussed a prospective DAS decoder sub-GBT link level parallelization at yesterday's SRO meeting. Carl and I concluded that this would require significant code modifications and could take some time. We also discussed an alternate method involving raw data files generated by the ALICE treadout code. To continue the detector studies, I have developed the raw data file reader and decoder ERSAP actor, which can be used instead of the streaming actor (note that the remainder of the pipeline remains unchanged). The 4TB disk (/data) mounted on the alkaid is adequate for a run reading 3 FEC (6 GBT links) for approximately 0.5 hours. On top of this ERSAP pipeline, previously processed files can be deleted to make room for future operations. Also possible is transferring files to a remote location for data processing.

Regards,
-Vardan
